Bambu Lab integration

Bambu Lab fleet management, run from one dashboard

3DPrinterOS connects your Bambu Lab X1, P1 and A1 printers to a single cloud platform, so one person can queue jobs, control who prints, watch every machine live and report on the whole fleet without walking the lab floor.

Works alongside your existing printers — Prusa, Ultimaker, Creality, Dremel and 150+ more.

A few Bambu Lab printers are easy. Thirty of them are a job.

Bambu Studio and Handy were built for one maker and one machine. Once printers spread across labs, classrooms or production cells, Bambu Lab fleet management becomes a question of access, accountability and uptime — not slicing.

Without a management layer

  • Files land on SD cards and shared drives with no version history
  • Anyone with the printer code can start a job on any machine
  • Nobody knows who printed the 900 g spool that vanished
  • Failed prints run overnight because no one is watching
  • Usage reports mean copying job logs into a spreadsheet

With 3DPrinterOS

  • One cloud library with approvals, version history and shared projects
  • Role-based permissions decide who prints, where and how much
  • Every job is tied to a user, a machine, a material and a cost
  • Live camera feeds and AI failure detection stop bad prints early
  • Fleet reports export in a click for budgets, grants and audits

Everything your Bambu Lab fleet management needs

One platform for the files, the printers and the people using them.

Live fleet monitoring

See status, temperature, progress and camera feed for every X1, P1 and A1 on one screen. Cancel a failing job from your phone before it wastes a spool.

Smart print queues

Send a job to a group of printers instead of a single machine. The next free Bambu Lab printer picks it up, so your fleet stays busy overnight and over weekends.

User and access control

Give students, engineers and technicians different rights by team, lab or building. Approvals, print limits and balances stop the queue from being hijacked.

Cloud slicing and file prep

Upload STL, OBJ, 3MF or G-code, repair and slice in the browser with locked profiles, then print. No installs, no laptop-by-laptop settings drift.

Failure detection

AI spaghetti detection watches the build plate and alerts you the moment a print goes wrong, so a Friday failure doesn't run until Monday.

Reporting and billing

Track filament, machine hours, cost per job and utilisation per department. Charge back internally or bill users with balances and third-party payments.

Connected in an afternoon

No firmware surgery and no rewiring the lab. Most teams have their first Bambu Lab printers online before lunch.

Create your workspace

Set up your organisation, labs and teams in the 3DPrinterOS cloud.

Connect the printers

Add each Bambu Lab machine over your network in LAN mode or through the supported connection method for your model.

Set rules and profiles

Lock slicing profiles, define who can print on what, and set limits or costs per group.

Scale the fleet

Add printers, sites and users as you grow — the dashboard stays the same.

3DPrinterOS is vendor-neutral. Manage a mixed fleet without a second piece of software — check the compatibility list for your exact model and firmware.

Built for the places Bambu Lab printers multiply fastest

Universities and makerspaces

Hundreds of students, a handful of staff. Single sign-on, print approvals and per-student limits keep the lab open without a technician standing next to every machine.

K-12 and districts

Teachers submit from the classroom, admins approve, and district leaders see usage per school in one report — with locked profiles so nothing prints at the wrong settings.

Print farms and manufacturing

Group queues push jobs to whichever Bambu Lab printer frees up first, while cost tracking and utilisation data show where to add the next machine.

Bambu Lab fleet management FAQ

Can I manage multiple Bambu Lab printers from one dashboard?

Yes. 3DPrinterOS gives you a single cloud dashboard for your whole Bambu Lab fleet — status, queues, cameras, users and history — whether the printers sit in one room or across several sites.

Which Bambu Lab printers are supported?

The integration covers popular Bambu Lab models including the X1 Carbon, X1E, P1S, P1P and A1 series. Check the 3DPrinterOS compatibility page for the current list and any firmware or connection requirements for your model.

Do I have to stop using Bambu Studio?

No. Teams often keep Bambu Studio for design work and use 3DPrinterOS as the management layer for approvals, queues, permissions and reporting across the fleet. You can also slice in the browser with locked profiles.

Does it work with LAN mode?

Yes. Bambu Lab printers can be connected on your local network, which is how most schools and enterprises with strict IT policies deploy them. Talk to our team about your network setup and we'll confirm the right configuration.

Can I mix Bambu Lab printers with other brands?

Yes. 3DPrinterOS is vendor-neutral and supports 150+ printers, so Bambu Lab, Prusa, Ultimaker, Creality and others all live in the same fleet view instead of separate apps.

How do I control who can print?

Assign users to teams, labs or buildings and set permissions per printer group. You can require approval before a job starts, cap usage with balances, and tie every print to a named user for reporting or chargeback.

How long does setup take?

Most teams connect their first printers the same day. Onboarding help is included, so a technician walks through workspace setup, printer connection and profile locking with you.

„Wir haben eine tolle Gruppe von Studenten, die mit diesen Druckern an der Lösung realer Probleme arbeiten, anstatt wenn all diese Geräte da stehen und Staub sammeln würden. Es gibt tatsächlich nicht genug Kapazität, und wir brauchen mehr davon.“
