3DPrinterOS protects your design files, your intellectual property, and your compliance posture. Deploy on our TX-RAMP certified Azure cloud or on your own infrastructure. Every print job secured, every user authenticated, every action logged.
3D print files contain the complete geometry of your parts. A leaked STL or G-code file can be reverse-engineered, counterfeited, or used by a competitor. 3DPrinterOS treats every design file as sensitive IP by default.
You choose where your data lives. Our hosted cloud runs on Microsoft Azure with U.S.-based data centers. Or deploy on your own servers, your own Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud account. No design files are ever routed through third-party or overseas infrastructure without your explicit choice.
Enterprise SSO via SAML 2.0, Shibboleth, OKTA, and InCommon. Role-based permissions control who can upload files, start prints, manage printers, or view analytics. Every action is tied to an authenticated user identity.
Complete print job history with user attribution: who submitted what file, when it was printed, on which printer, with which material settings, and whether it succeeded or failed. Exportable logs for compliance reporting, incident investigation, and operational analysis.
All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Files are encrypted as they move from the platform to the Cloud Client on your local network. Patented Secure Streaming Technology ensures the complete design file is never stored on the printer itself.
Every organization has different security requirements. Some need a managed, certified cloud. Others need to keep every byte on their own hardware. 3DPrinterOS supports both.
Our hosted platform runs on Microsoft Azure with U.S.-based data centers. TX-RAMP certified out of the box. Zero infrastructure management on your end: we handle updates, backups, security patching, and uptime.
Install 3DPrinterOS on your own local servers or inside your private Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud account. Full control over network topology, firewall configuration, and data residency. Supports fully air-gapped operation.
3DPrinterOS uses patented Secure Streaming Technology to send print data to the printer in real time, layer by layer. The complete design file is never stored on the printer's local storage or SD card.
If a printer is stolen, decommissioned, or physically accessed by an unauthorized person, no design files can be recovered from it. The file exists only on your secured server, streamed through encrypted channels during the active print job and discarded immediately after each layer is executed. This eliminates an entire class of IP theft vector that traditional 3D printing workflows leave open: the file sitting on a USB stick, an SD card, or the printer's internal memory.

Procurement teams at state agencies, public universities, and defense contractors need vendors that can answer security questionnaires, not dodge them. Here is what we bring to the table.
Our hosted Azure deployment holds TX-RAMP certification from the Texas Department of Information Resources. We have passed security assessments aligned with NIST 800-53 controls, covering data protection, access management, incident response, and continuous monitoring. Required for Texas state agencies and public universities since January 2022.
The Higher Education Community Vendor Assessment Tool is the standard security questionnaire used by U.S. universities during procurement. 3DPrinterOS maintains completed HECVAT documentation, so your procurement team does not have to wait weeks for answers. If your institution requires a HECVAT review, we can provide the completed assessment on request.
Our private server deployment enables organizations to maintain ITAR and CMMC compliance by keeping all data on customer-controlled, U.S.-based infrastructure. 3DPrinterOS does not require cloud connectivity in air-gapped configurations, ensuring that export-controlled design data never leaves the facility.
For Fortune 500 and enterprise accounts, we support standard vendor security review processes including security questionnaires, architecture review calls, and penetration test result sharing. Our team works directly with your InfoSec and procurement teams to address requirements specific to your organization.
Whether you are protecting student projects, classified defense prototypes, or proprietary automotive tooling, 3DPrinterOS adapts to your security requirements.
SSO via Shibboleth and InCommon, HECVAT documentation, student billing, and multi-campus management.
Air-gapped deployment, TX-RAMP, Secure Streaming, and on-prem servers with zero cloud dependencies.
Private cloud deployment, vendor security reviews, role-based access, and multi-site fleet management.
IP protection for proprietary tooling, Secure Streaming, ITAR support, and encrypted file transport.
CMMC-compatible deployment, air-gapped networks, no files left on printers, and a full audit trail.
Authenticated access per project, exportable job history, and controlled sharing between teams and sites.
