Maker Faire 2014 - The Greatest Show and Tell on Earth

This past weekend was Maker Faire 2014 in New York. Often referred to as "The Greatest Show and Tell on Earth," this years show did not disappoint. Beyond featuring some of the most innovative companies in the 3D Printing world, Maker Faire brings together the best and the brightest makers across the world to showcase the wide variety of projects they are working on.Here are some sights from our visit:
The entrance to the greatest show and tell on earth[/caption]One of the most talked about projects in the 3D Printing world as of late has been the Strati car by Local Motors. It's even more impressive in person.

Another incredible project to see live was massive 15 foot tall "Part Daddy" by SeeMeCNC.

Vase being printed in PLA[/caption]The use of 3D Printing in green projects was fully on display as well. Two projects we enjoyed seeing were 3DPonics, a 3D Printable Hydroponics System, and Urban Hubs, localized 3D Printed recycling stations.

Localized 3D Printed recycling installations[/caption]We've prior covered in our blog the e-NABLE group and their work with creating 3D Printed prosthetic hands. One of their fully assembled raptor hands was on display at the show.
